HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAYSA!
Jaysa turned one on Januaray 29th! I can't believe it has a year since I had her. Having Jaysa in my life has taught me so much. I have learned that there is nothing in this world I could love more than her and I have learned A LOT of patience, which everyone know I didn't have much of in the first place. Jaysa means so much to me and I can't imagine life without her.

Don't Touch! Jaysa kept reaching for the flame!

Trowing a one year old birthday was so much harder than I thought because one years old cant play games. i was almost more worried about entertaining the parents than the children. We had her party at the Old Gym where C.J. and I work so that the parents would be entertained by playing ping pong, pool, and air hockey. For the little kids C.J. wanted to get a pinata. I told him the little kids wouldn't know what to do with it but we decided to get one anyway. Of course we has to let the grown ups bust it.
Brain knocked its head off in the first swing but none of the candy fell out.

So we let Kristin's boyfriend Mark take a swing. After he busted it and all the candy fell out none of the kids went running for the candy :( Dont get a pinata for a one year old's birthday.

Jaysa has not gotten the hang of opening presents yet so I had to open most of them. The very last present we opened she started to get the concept of tearing wrapping paper. She will have it down next year though.

She got lots of cool presents. Thank you everyone who came to the party and got her something it was a lot of fun.

As soon as we got home we opened all her presents so she could play with them. She had so much fun.

The Cake!
I went and bought one of those huge cup cakes you see advertised on t.v. I HATED it! I had to scoop out the middle so that it would finish cooking! When I went to put the top of the cake on it started to lean!

Jaysa enjoyed it though!

She loved licking the frosting off the cake but didn't really want to dig in.

Yummy!

Cute face

She was so dirty it took three of us to clean her off.

Jaysa HATED being wiped down. She has started to get really sassy lately. Every time somone grabs her hands she pull her hand away as fast as she can and gives them a dirty look. She wont even let me hold her hand while we are walking! She throws a fit every time. She is so independent!

Thanks for posting pictures of Jaysa's birthday! We wish we could have been there!! That cupcake is amazing. Betty Crocker! It looks like next year you can save yourself some trouble and give her a can of icing. :) But let's face it... it just isn't as cute. I am pretty sure that cupcake is as big as her! :)
